Children's Ministry: Grades 1-5
Sunday School provides opportunities for children to read, study, and apply the truths of scripture through age-appropriate games, activities, and discussions. Basic Bible skills are taught, and children are provided opportunities to make personal life-application of biblical truths. Two Sunday School sessions are provided for our children. If your family attends the traditional worship service at 11:00, then your child may attend Sunday School at 9:30; if you are attending the contemporary worship service at 9:30, then your child is encouraged to attend Sunday School at 11:00.
Bible Scouts uses games and fun activities to strengthen Bible skills so that children are comfortable and capable of using their Bibles for personal Bible reading and study. Children memorize Bible verses, and learn the location of all the books in the Bible as well as important key passages of scripture.
Kids' Trek encourages children to grow in their understanding of living as disciples of Jesus during short-term studies. Through Bible stories and hands-on activities, we learn about using the Bible in our daily lives.
Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors teach girls and boys about being missionaries in their community and around the world. As they learn about missions work throughout the world, they gain a better understanding of how they can help fulfill Christ's Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations. Hands-on opportunities are also provided for the children to be involved in ministering to others locally and globally.
Music Makers and Young Musicians Choirs provide children opportunities to build on the basic fundamentals of music through songs, rhythms, and instruments. They also learn about God and worship through music, and learn to serve as worship leaders as they prepare music for singing in Sunday morning worship and in special seasonal programs.
New Christian Classes are offered for children wanting to know more about becoming a Christian, being baptized, and joining the church. Children may participate in these classes before or after making the decision to become a Christian.
